The "tiny house"

We took our first vacation as a family of 5 this year. We kept it simple and just took the kids to Park City for a few days.

First we went to Temple Square to see the flowers and the new replica of the Temple. It was very neat.

You can't go to Temple Square without seeing The Christus.

Of course the boys needed a picture with some basketball stars.

Then we took them to Discovery Gateway. It was fun, but I wouldn't waste the money again. It is pretty much the same as Treehouse Museum, but more expensive. The kids had fun though.

Jackson playing with fake food (and trying to eat fake food).

This tiny room was cute. Jared looks creepy peering in the window like that;)

Hunter practicing "the Daddy". Ha! That was funny and you know it!

Hunter climbing the rock wall, he wouldn't go any higher. I don't think I would have either.

Next we went to the Aquarium in SL. This was a favorite! I wish it was closer.

The kids watching the penguins.

I LOVE the sharks, so did everyone else. We stayed here most of the time, waiting for the sharks to swim by. Hunter didn't even want to see anything else. They also had a stingray pool where you could pet them as they swam by. I was the only one brave enough to do it. They were slimy.

That's when we headed up to Park City. We got a condo for 2 nights. That night we swam and hung out.

The next day we headed to the Mountain Resort to have some fun. Here is Hunter getting off the Alpine Slide.

Whoops, here he is going up to the slide. After Jared and Hunter went, I took Hunter and Alyssa up. I haven't been since I was Hunter's age, it was fun. Then Jared did the Alpine Coaster, he liked that a lot!

We played mini golf, Alyssa has been dying to go. It was really windy. The kids looked so cute on this bridge.

Hunter did well. He hit his ball off the green a lot so we kept telling him that he was grounded. ;)

Jackson loved it, he would scream if he had to wait too long.

Daddy helping Alyssa. She pretty much cheated her way through. She would hit it off the tee then grab the ball where it stopped and set it right next to the hole and hit it in. She was pretty funny.

We swam some more that night and had movie night. Then we went shopping the next day at the outlets. It was Jared's birthday and he wanted a nice watch that he could wear when he wasn't at work. Happy Birthday!

The "tiny house" title has to do with the condo. Alyssa loved being in it and sleeping somewhere else. Since we have been home she has asked many times (in a really sad voice) if we could go back to the tiny house. What a funny little thing, too bad I don't have a picture of it.

  2. Wow! You must've really made an impression while you were there if the city itself is checking back to see how you liked it!
